Service Description

Tenrat provides a tenant screening and verification platform that helps property owners, rental agents, and property managers make informed decisions about prospective tenants.

User Responsibilities

                For Property Owners and Rental Agents
                Use our platform only for legitimate rental screening purposes
Comply with all applicable fair housing laws and regulations
Maintain the confidentiality of tenant data obtained through our platform
Never discriminate based on protected characteristics
Provide accurate information when creating tenant reviews

                Provide accurate and truthful information during the verification process
Use our platform only when invited by a verified property owner or agent
Respect the privacy of other platform users

Subscription and Billing

Our pricing is transparent with no hidden fees or surprise charges:

Monthly Plans: $100 per month, billed monthly
Quarterly Plans: $70 per month, billed every 3 months ($210 total)
Semi-Annual Plans: $60 per month, billed every 6 months ($360 total)
Annual Plans: $50 per month, billed annually ($600 total)
Unlimited Screenings: All plans include unlimited tenant screenings
No Setup Fees: No additional charges for account setup or onboarding

Cancellation Policy

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not provide prorated refunds for unused portions of prepaid subscriptions.

Data Accuracy and Limitations

While we strive to provide accurate and up-to-date information, users should understand the limitations of our service:

Our AI risk assessment is a tool to assist decision-making, not a guarantee of tenant behavior
Reviews and ratings reflect the opinions of individual property owners and may not represent complete tenant history
Users are responsible for conducting their own due diligence and verification
We continuously work to improve data accuracy but cannot guarantee 100% accuracy

Account Usage and Prohibited Activities

To maintain a fair and safe platform for all users, the following activities are strictly prohibited:

Individual Account Requirement

Each user must maintain their own separate account. Sharing account access among multiple users is prohibited and requires explicit approval from management. Contact us if your organization needs multi-user access arrangements.

Account Sharing: Using one account for multiple agents or staff members without authorization
False Rental History: Creating fabricated or misleading tenant reviews and rental histories
Credential Sharing: Sharing or selling access credentials to unauthorized parties
Discrimination: Using the platform to discriminate against protected classes
Unauthorized Access: Attempting to access data without proper authorization
System Abuse: Reverse engineering or copying our proprietary algorithms
Misuse of Service: Using our service for purposes other than legitimate rental screening

Verification and Documentation

We reserve the right to request proof and documentation for any rental transaction or tenant review entered into our system. Users who cannot provide adequate verification may have their reviews removed or accounts suspended.

Automated Detection and Enforcement

Zero Tolerance Policy: If our anti-fraud system automatically detects violations, or if our administration team discovers non-compliance during routine verification checks, the offending account will be immediately blocked and service will be terminated without refund. We maintain sophisticated monitoring systems to protect platform integrity and user trust.

Liability and Disclaimers

Our platform provides information and tools to assist in rental decisions, but users remain responsible for their own choices:

Tenrat is not liable for rental decisions made based on our reports or recommendations
Property owners are responsible for compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
Our service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
We are not responsible for disputes between property owners and tenants

Account Termination

Either party may terminate this agreement:

User Termination: You may cancel your account at any time through your account settings
Service Termination: We may terminate accounts for violation of these terms
Data Retention: After termination, we retain data according to our Privacy Policy and legal requirements
No Refunds: Termination does not entitle users to refunds for unused subscription periods

Updates to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service to reflect changes in our practices, legal requirements, or service offerings. Material changes will be communicated via email and prominently displayed on our platform.

Continued Use

Continued use of our service after changes to these terms constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. If you disagree with changes, you may terminate your account.
